The Joyful Jukebox CIC is committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in all aspects of its activities, we recognise the importance of fostering an environment that is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive for all.

2. Our Commitment
We believe that everyone, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to participate in our activities and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of music and singing. We are committed to:

  • Ensuring our sing-alongs are accessible and welcoming to all, regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or socio-economic background.
  • Promoting a culture of respect and dignity among leaders, volunteers and attendees.
  • Taking a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
  • Providing reasonable adjustments to ensure inclusivity where possible.

3. Scope
This policy applies to all leaders, volunteers, participants, and anyone involved in The Joyful Jukebox CIC’s activities. It covers all interactions within our sing-alongs and any related engagements, both online and in person.

4. Responsibilities

  • Leaders and volunteers are expected to treat all attendees with kindness, respect, and consideration.
  • The Joyful Jukebox CIC will seek to ensure that venues used for activities are accessible and suitable for diverse needs.

Any leader, volunteer or attendee who experiences or witnesses any form of discrimination or exclusion is encouraged to report it to the organisers. All reports will be handled with sensitivity and confidentiality.

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective and relevant. Feedback from leaders, volunteers and attendees will be welcomed to help improve our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
